The Founder’s Hall was established in 1878 and is located on the south side of the Main Hall.
It boasts a majestic hip-and-gable roof with sangawarabuki pantiles and a front with undulating bargeboard eaves. The design includes round pillars, sparse rafters, and a narrow veranda with a railing featuring decorated newel posts, demonstrating a high level of formality.
The inside exhibits delicate craftsmanship with the finely latticed and coffered ceiling and transoms with closely-spaced vertical bars.A magnificent dais is placed at the center, enshrining a statue of Shinsei Shonin , flanked by other high monks such as Tendai Daishi and Dengyo Daishi.
Outside the building, a statue of Shinsei Shonin as a child can be found, along with cherry blossoms, azaleas, tachibana, hydrangeas, and various other flowering trees, ensuring beautiful scenery throughout the year.
