This hirakaramon (undulating bargeboard) gate was constructed during renovations to the temple complex in the Taisho period (1912–1926). It is situated on a base to the west of the Founder’s Hall, with flanking tsuijibei clay walls that extend forward before sharply bending outward on both sides. The roof is made of cypress bark, featuring very loosely spaced rafters. Designed as a side gate, it has a simple construction, but its large size and the prominent frog-leg struts along the ridge provide focal points for the design.
